As spring has now officially begun the First XV will be hoping for warmer weather and firmer grounds to suit their running style of rugby; starting on Saturday as they travel to the outskirts of the Vale of Glamorgan to taken on Old Penarthians in the league. This will again be a difficult encounter for the Llantonians as Old Pens are a team who despite sitting just above the relegation places in the points table always run teams close and have received plaudits across the league for their exciting attacking play. Llantwit should though be well rested after another enforced break due to the finale of the Six Nations Championship, and be fully aware of the danger they face in underestimating their opponents as they only just managed to win the first encounter 33-27, kick off is at 2:30pm.
