It is with great pleasure that we can announce this years Club Dinner will be held at the Clubhouse on Friday the 19th of May. The event gives us all a chance to look back and celebrate the successes, and setbacks of the Senior and Youth teams this season, and give awards to the outstanding performers and contributors over the season. It's also a cracking good night out.
This year the club have managed a great fillip for the dinner; as it falls just a few weeks before the Lions tour, in obtaining the services of John ‘Bentos’ Bentley as our guest speaker. Some younger members may be unaware that John is a legendary ex-England and British and Irish Lion and played in both league and union codes. He was one of the stars of the 1997 Lions tour to South Africa where he became immortalised in Lions history with one of the greatest try's scored and cemented his place as one of the characters of the game with his infectious enthusiasm to the Lions cause.
