New Coaches at the Rec..

The seniors team are now pleased to be able to confirm the appointment of a new management and coaching team for the upcoming 2017/18 season. The set-up has local boy Stuart Edbrooke returning to the Recreation Ground to head up the coaching team, having left as a young junior to embark on a successful career playing for both Tata Steel and Bridgend Athletic. He will bring some valuable experience to the team, and he isn’t finished playing either as he fully intends to combine his coaching role with playing.
Supporting Stuart will be Rob Morgan who is a Level 2 WRU coach with several years experience behind him at Gilfach Goch, having the accolade of taking their youth team to the Welsh Cup Final in 2014. His specialism being skills development and back play. They will be admirably assisted by the retention of Matthew Mazzitelli who will be commencing his fourth season with the Llantonians as strength and conditioning coach.
Joining the coaches will be Andrew Halligan who has moved over from the press office to become Team Manager. With the backroom staff of Physiotherapist Sam Morgan, Kit Man John Davies, Match Day Operations Manager Marky Mascot and Fixture Secretary/Linesman Roger Elliot the players should have no complaints of a lack of support.
Preseason training is now well under way but new and old players are always welcome, sessions beginning at 6:45pm every Tuesday and Thursday.
