For the first time this season, Llantwit Major U13 Tigers were able to field an almost full strength team as they travelled away to Pentyrch for this weeks game.
In very wet conditions, the Tigers were buoyed by last weeks positive performance, and were hoping to continue on an upward trajectory. Unfortunately, although once again competitive in the forwards, they came up second best to a very efficient Pentyrch outfit who were ultimately comfortable winners.
There were positives to take of course, with Dan Bartlett increasing his try count for the season with a close range effort supported by the rest of the forwards, and new player Ben Raymond making his debut for the team from the bench in the second half. The highlight of the game was to see the progress of man of the match Dexter Milburn, who in only his second start repeatedly stopped Pentyrch attacks down the flanks with a fantastic display of tackling.
Congratulations to Pentyrch on their win, and well done to the Tigers who kept on playing and will only get better as the season continues.
