Fixture

As the sun rose over the Llantwit youth pitch, the under 15s and under 16s combined squad   warmed up for a fierce match against Gilfach Goch. 

The first half saw Llantwit dominate using powerful forward running to pound their way up the pitch into the opposition's 22' and creating gaps outwide for the backs to dance through, leading to scrumhalf Maison D scoring three tries. Two of which being converted by flanker Ieuan H and Rory J using his immense strength to break through Gilfach Gochs defensive lines and score one more try  converted by flanker Ieuan H. 26-0.

The second half saw Gilfach Goch begin a comeback and score. Then a 20 minute stalemate ensued with nail biting end to end rugby seeing both teams scoring again with Maison D make a break-through the Gilfach Goch defence and fight his way over the opposition's try line. This then was converted by flanker Ieuan H. 

Overall a strong showing from both sides with Llantwit coming out on top. Man of the match went to Mason D, not only for his 4 tries scored during the game, but for staying calm under the intense pressure. A big thanks to everyone who turned up to support the boys.
